Electro-Acupuncture Measurement
Electro-acupuncture is not an acupuncture treatment, but a measurement. It is used to map possible disturbances in the body, often related to a tooth (for example an old filling, root canal treatment, or inflammation).
This measurement takes place on referral from your dentist, when there is a suspicion that a dental situation may be affecting your overall health.
What do you need to bring?
- A referral from your dentist
- A photo (X-ray) of the tooth in question, for example showing an inflammation, root canal treatment, bridge, etc.
- A description of the complaint
What are disruptive factors?
Disruptive factors are invisible triggers that disturb the body’s energy flow, causing you to lose energy and recover less effectively. Examples include:
- Dental stressors (root canal treatments, implants, amalgam fillings)
- Metals (nickel, titanium, splints in crowns or bridges)
- Hormonal stressors (medication, contraception, prolonged stress)
- Food intolerances or sensitivities
These factors are often present for a long time: energy “leaks away,” tension doesn’t go away, or complaints keep returning — even after previous treatments.
How electro-acupuncture makes this visible
Where conventional examinations sometimes find nothing, electro-acupuncture maps the body’s energetic balance. Using a refined measuring system, we measure where the energy flow is stagnating or overactive — often even before physical complaints arise.
The measurement reveals:
- Which organs or tissues are overloaded
- Where old stressors (such as a root canal treatment) still have an effect
- Whether there is sensitivity to metals, food, or hormones
This makes it possible to treat in a targeted way instead of guessing.

You’ll receive a personal overview and advice. Depending on the outcome, we often combine treatment methods such as:
- Acupuncture – to restore the energy flow
- Dental scan – focused on tooth- and jaw-related stress
- Nutritional advice – to reduce intolerances and overload

Wat is elektro-acupunctuur precies?
Elektro-acupunctuur is een meetmethode waarbij met een klein elektrisch signaal de weerstand van het weefsel wordt getest. Zo wordt zichtbaar waar verstoring, intoleranties of blokkades het zelfherstel belemmeren.
Doet een meting pijn?
Nee, de meting is volledig pijnloos. Je voelt hooguit een lichte druk op de huid van de vingers of voeten.
Kan elektro-acupunctuur iets zeggen over hormonen of een spiraal?
Ja. Vaak reageert het lichaam gevoelig op bepaalde materialen of hormonale belasting. De meting helpt deze invloed zichtbaar te maken, zodat er gerichte ondersteuning kan volgen.
Helpt het ook bij vermoeidheid of emotionele disbalans?
Ja. Elektro-acupunctuur kijkt niet alleen naar het fysieke, maar ook naar het energetische evenwicht. Daardoor is het bijzonder waardevol bij klachten zonder duidelijke oorzaak.
Ik heb gevoelige tanden, wortelkanaalbehandelingen of verstandskiezen laten trekken. Is dat relevant?
Zeker. Oude tandbehandelingen kunnen invloed hebben op meridianen die door het kaakgebied lopen. Tijdens een Dental scan onderzoeken we of daar nog belasting aanwezig is en hoe dit jouw energiebalans beïnvloedt.
Kan elektro-acupunctuur helpen bij eczeem of voedselgevoeligheid?
Ja. De meting kan inzicht geven in intoleranties en verstorende factoren die het immuunsysteem belasten. Zo wordt duidelijk welke voeding, metalen of prikkels het lichaam overactief maken.
Wordt elektro-acupunctuur vergoed door de verzekering?
Ja, in veel gevallen wel. Elektro-acupunctuur valt onder complementaire geneeswijzen. Als je aanvullend verzekerd bent voor acupunctuur, wordt (een deel van) het consult vaak vergoed. Controleer hiervoor je zorgverzekeraar.
